Website and privacy policy
HeadScape is a service run by Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust (”Oxleas”), which is called the “data controller”. This page tells you about how Oxleas uses information from HeadScape.
What is HeadScape and who is it for?
HeadScape is for young people aged between 10 and 18 who live in Greenwich. HeadScape provides quizzes that help you to find useful information and resources about mental health. If things seem really tough we will recommend that you get in touch so that we might be able to help. If you do get in touch, your information will be shared with mental health professionals for care and treatment.
By using this website you agree to this.
If you live outside Greenwich, or are not aged between 10 and 18, you may still use the website, but certain parts of HeadScape will not be available to you. You may wish to contact your local NHS if you want to discuss issues in more detail. You can find out who this is by clicking here.
What information Oxleas gets from HeadScape and what we use it for?
We can get two kinds of information through HeadScape:
- Information you give us about you: If you fill in the questionnaires on HeadScape and send them to us, Oxleas will obtain the information in the questionnaires, and your name, contact details, phone number and anything else that you tell us.
We may then use this information to get back in touch with you, for instance to arrange an appointment or visit or to provide you with help. - General information we get from your use of HeadScape: Oxleas obtain anonymous information (which means we don’t know who you are) through cookies which help us to make sure that HeadScape is useful and helpful. You can find out more about cookies here.
How do we look after your information and who it may be shared with?
The information you send us will be handled very carefully and will be added to your own medical record which Oxleas will create or may hold for you already.
We may need to share the information you give us with other people who can help you, like your doctor (GP) or with other children and young people’s services in Greenwich. Oxleas may also need to give your information to your family or carers. Where appropriate, we will normally talk to you more about this before it happens.
Sometimes your information may be used to help improve the NHS. For example we may want to find out more about how many people have a particular need or to plan how many staff Oxleas need to have to help them. Usually things like your name and address would not be passed on when this happens.
Do you want to know more about how we use information about you?
